About Us

After having ministered for twelve years, God put into the heart of our Visionaries, Pastor Wilbert and Leading Lady Naomi White, to begin a new work in the Florence area, the new church will be called, “The Ambassadors for Christ Worship Assembly” for we will represent Christ in bringing the lost back to God.

On January 1, 2003, we entered the New Year rejoicing as this was a new beginning for the newly established Ambassadors for Christ Worship Assembly. We met twice weekly at the North Vista Elementary School in Florence for the first year.

On March 30, 2003, after completing the new members class, Ambassadors for Christ inducted its first official members of approximately 40 adults and 25 children.

The first year of ministry was dedicated to understanding the ministry’s vision and mission. It is the vision of the ministry to utilize every God-given gift, anointing, and resource to impact our communities and world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

On December of 2003 we relocated to 1113 Oakland Avenue, Florence, South Carolina. With this move, we were afforded even more opportunity to witness to the community as well as build a sound leadership team. As the ministering of the Word of God increased, many were added and became covenant partners with the Ambassadors for Christ Worship Assembly family. As the Spirit of the Lord continued to reveal his perfect plan for AFCWA, Pastor and Leading Lady shared the vision of building a sanctuary. At that, we were challenged to be prayerful and watchful for 10+ acres of land in the Florence County area.

In 2006, we began making a joint effort towards the vision by pledging before God a specific amount of money for the building project. The building fund continued to grow as the members faithfully sowed.

towards the vision. After much prayer and seeking, we located a suitable amount of land that once was McMillan Nursery on Alligator Road in Florence, South Carolina.

In February 2008, the groundbreaking ceremony was held at 2196 Alligator Road, Florence, South Carolina, which would be the future home of Ambassadors for Christ Worship Assembly. The acreage of this property was abundantly above that which we envisioned. We have also been afforded the wealth of the trees and shrubs, which became seed money for the building fund. We continued to pray, plan and sow.

Within one year, construction was completed and on May 3, 2009, we consecrated and dedicated this beautifully erected sanctuary unto the Lord. This house is set aside and apart for the work of the Kingdom.

In 2013, God has blessed us to see another phase of the ministry implemented; the cell vision through the government of 12. We envision every believer becoming a true disciple of Jesus Christ and win 12 others and train them to do the same. The cell groups continued to grow in 2014. Year, 2015, which marks our 12th year anniversary, we continue to grow spiritually and numerically in the ministry of reconciliation. This year, 2023 we expect for lives to be changed and for every covenant partner to reach their God-given destiny through Christ Jesus. As the Spirit of the Lord leads year after year, challenging us to more of a Passion for Him and compassion for Man, we expect the Lord to bring the increase of souls and resources for the advancement of His kingdom.
